Vehicle HUDs in "PlanetSide 2" are rendered in game as a 2-D texture and lit up with a holographic shader. The colors and shapes of the vehicle's HUD were set according to the faction and the type of vehicle (either ground or air). Furthermore, by design it was set some functional sections, such as odometers and altimeters.
